“a great show. It’s a true-crime show about white-collar scammers. But I find it is very instructive about persuasion and Influence. They had an episode about US Fidelis, a company that sold car warranties that were worthless. A friend fell for that a while back and lost like $400. Not sure if that was that specific company or another one running the same con. It was fascinating to see the behind-the-scenes details how the scheme worked. On a tangent, if you like American Greed, I highly recommend the book The Confidence Game by Maria Konnikova. It’s about the psychology behind how scams work.”

- Great movie about Billy Beane that shows the business side of baseball in using statistics to help build a better team. It also shows the change aspects of the old school baseball coaches versus this new way of thinking.
