Intercom is also powerful, but SOOOOOO expensive for what you get..plus they charge you based on how many users you have, so if you have a busy site, forget about it..
Intercom is very powerful, feature-rich. For example: target very specific types of users at certain stages of using your app with in-app messages.
For what it’s worth, I’d recommend Intercom too.
Zendesk is too expensive for the little value they provide these days compared to new entrants/competitors in the customer support space. Tido and tawk.to are each good choices, but Intercom and Crisp Chat are my recommendations. Intercom provides a substantial discount to new/startup businesses, while Crisp Chat has a free plan available.
We use Intercom, it’s definitely one of the best in class but depending on your budget Facebook Messenger widget can do the job as well
I’d recommend starting off with FB Messenger to see if people want to chat / have questions while on the site
The pricing for Intercom is a bit confusing to me and we demo’s Drift but their sales team kind of dropped the ball. + $500/month with no type of CSAT or other customer service reporting/metrics is a lot.
Take a look at Drift and Intercom. These are the current leaders in sales and marketing live chat with feature sets of slightly different emphases.

GRIN games emerged
As a web agency we never could and never will be able to escape the urge of building things.
Among million other things we played with an idea of text-based games and the last piece that was missing was the story itself. So via in-house outreach platform we found two established writers that believed in the project and agreed to participate.

Today we ship into production inhouse SaaS project - AVOKADO - the web app for learning languages with flash cards.
The year after we built it we realised how long is the road map ahead & what resources we'd need to promote it and decided to put it on hold.
One day as we ship GRIN tech v3.0 into production we'll distrupt the language learning market with Avokado.
