GoogieHost Editorial Review & Aggregated Reddit Reviews
GoogieHost was founded in 2012 in India, and its founder (Indian blogger Rajesh Chauhan) intended to address issues in Indian IT. Since then, GoogieHost has become an international company and provides a variety of services to both home and corporate users.
But is this Asian hosting provider worthy of your attention?
Confusion about the business model
Googiehost is not like most hosting providers. And that’s not a compliment.
Things can get a little confusing. Let’s start with the site.
Of course, it’s not pretty. But that’s not the point. When you click on the “Paid hosting” link in the GoogieHost header, it automatically goes by default to Interserver.net, which I mentioned earlier.
This way, you cannot pay for hosting directly from GoogieHost and instead from its partner.
Besides, GoogieHost specifically mentions YouStable.com, which it launched in 2016 to provide premium website hosting services at an affordable price. But if you want to buy something directly from them?
That’s bad luck.
That means GoogieHost doesn’t get all the services under its name. Instead, it simply redirects users to other ISPs. This act is called reselling, and thus GoogieHost is an Interserver reseller.
The real service that GoogieHost offers is free web hosting. And even then, a little creative research shows that they use Interserver’s servers for this purpose.
With this mystery, let’s see how much you have to pay for hosting here:
Prices for GoogieHost
The price of packages with a partner (the Interserver) ranges from $2.49 to $9.99.
These are widely affordable, but do they provide value? Here’s how those plans compare:
Free | Local | Professional | |
Price Per Month | Free | $2.49 | $9.99 |
Disk Space limit | 1000 MB | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Bandwidth limit | 100 GB | 100 GB | Unlimited |
Domains allowed | 5 | 10 | Unlimited |
SSD or HDD used in servers | SSD | SSD | SSD |
SSL | Included | Included | Included |
Website Builder | Free, included | Free, included | Free, included |
Money-Back Guarantee | 30-day | 30-day | 30-day |
Customer Support | 24/7 live | 24/7 live | 24/7 live |
I have included detailed information about the most affordable and expensive packages. There are several more between them, but here are the main interesting ones.
It turns out that the GoogieHost plans are quite reasonable for the most part. I would especially recommend the local plan as the best one in terms of cost, although its limited bandwidth of 100 GB means that it is not suitable for sites with high traffic.
Also, a free SSL (generic) certificate and 24/7 customer support with all plans are a great touch.
Performance
GoogieHost runs quite normally, providing average speeds.
These are Interserver performance metrics, not GoogieHost!
Final Thoughts on Googiehost review
Anyway, it isn’t straightforward to give a good grade to Googiehost. Because, first of all, it is nothing more than a page with a link to the Interserver.
Googiehost uses the Interserver platform and provides competitive prices as well as 24/7 customer support. However, it is better to go to Interserver or choose a hosting provider even better than using Googiehost.

GRIN games emerged
As a web agency we never could and never will be able to escape the urge of building things.
Among million other things we played with an idea of text-based games and the last piece that was missing
was the story itself. So via in-house outreach platform we found two
established writers that believed in the project and agreed to participate.
Shout out to Richard Abbott who wrote Fraud on Thetis and Eva Pohler who sent us a huge draft we are still reading through.
v0.1.4
GRIN launcher is born.
It is an outreach platform that we use to establish connections with editorial teams.
They say samples of published articles look good
but pricing looks even better
At some point we realised that list building, fetching contact details & outreach tech work just as well for b2b lead generation
v0.1.3
Once, we fell in love with ecommerce, because of short feedback cycles on marketing & development efforts.
Today we ship into production
inhouse SaaS project - AVOKADO - the web
app for learning languages with flash cards.
The year after we built it we realised how long is the road map ahead & what resources we'd need to promote it and decided to put it on hold.
One day as we ship GRIN tech v3.0 into production we'll distrupt the language learning market with Avokado.
We love Wordpress and recently shipped two plugins into open beta for commercial sale.
v0.1.2.2 King The Monk - wordpress plugin to virally grow your email list
v0.1.2.1 Plain Conversions - wordpress plugin to convert your visitors
